Two weeks to go until paperback publication
The Trouble with Mrs Montgomery Hurst is out in paperback in just two weeks . . .
Hello everyone!
The Trouble with Mrs Montgomery Hurst is out in paperback in just two weeks!
The Trouble with Mrs Montgomery Hurst is out in paperback, with its beautiful new cover, on 12th June. I’m so excited to see this edition out in the world!
Just a quick note for international readers, as I know some of you in the US/Canada have been asking about when/if there will be a US edition of The Trouble with Mrs Montgomery Hurst. At present, I don’t have a US publisher for this novel, and that doesn’t seem likely to change in the near future, so if you live in North America and would like to read the book, the best place to get a copy is from Blackwells, which is a UK independent bookshop with free international shipping.
A word about Jane Austen
As those of you who have read The Trouble with Mrs Montgomery Hurst might have noticed, the novel is hugely influenced by Jane Austen, and this year, 2025, is an exciting year to be a Jane Austen fan, as it’s her 250th birthday this December. That means there are so many special events and book releases happening this year. I’m looking forward to diving into some of them in July, when I’ll be hosting my yearly readathon Jane Austen July over on my Booktube channel and celebrating all things Jane Austen.
What I’m reading
Right now, I’m reading and thoroughly enjoying The Appeal by Jane Hallett, as well as rereading Wives and Daughters by Elizabeth Gaskell on audiobook. Wives and Daughters is an old favourite of mine and was another big influence on Mrs Montgomery Hurst, and it’s been a huge pleasure to reread it.
Otherwise, that’s all for now, folks. Happy reading!
What a gorgeous cover! What genre is this?
Already ordered. I’m looking forward to reading it. I loved your first book👏🏻👏🏻
